A letter to the bride
One of the greatest milestones in one’s life is when one finally meets their partner. A love story, but can love fade. We can get caught up on the small, seemingly meaningless stuff, or slowly grow distance because we’re neglecting each other needs instead of nurturing, healing, and supporting.
The honeymoon phase doesn’t have to end. You can have that deep, meaningful, and fulfilling love you’ve always wanted, the one you deserve. But it takes conscious effort. It takes mutual respect and it takes clear communication. Not just on special occasions, anniversaries or weekends. It takes mindful practice and reflection a daily basis. Every morning, every afternoon, every night. And, I’ll stress, it doesn’t have to be hard.
there are things you need to be mindful of, and make conscious efforts towards. Take it from someone who’s grown up in a toxic environment, who experienced two very smart people,
Seven-year marriage,
As long as your values align, and you practice love and respect, and communication, your love will strengthen.
So when that special person in your life is engaged, and their months or moments from heating to the altar, give them a gift that they can carry into their marriage. Give them the freedom to create the partnership, love, and life they yearn for.
Dearest Future Bride,
As you take a moment to soak in this momentous milestone – this redefining moment of your life, make space to celebrate – but also, set aside time to make an intention. An intention on the woman, the wife, and perhaps, at some point soon, the mother you will become.
From my heart to yours, wishes I have for your marriage:
I hope you choose to see the light in one another. To practise compassion, appreciation, and love for one another on a daily basis. To never miss an opportunity to show your love for one another.
I hope you choose to turn daily routines into sacred rituals – that you design each day around the important things in your life
I hope you choose to heal when one of you is hurt. To be one’s strength and to be one’s safe space. To listen with compassion and communicate with vulnerable.
I hope you take the opportunity to create a marriage and partnership that makes you feel safe, supported, and free to just be – To do things differently than how you might have been brought up to see or taught to be.
I hope you never go to sleep with an unsettled argument – despite how tired and run down you might be.
I hope that you fill your home with warmth and beauty – that you surround yourself with treasures you’ve collected on your adventures together.
I hope you never stop dating. That you make an effort to learn each other’s love languages and practice it daily (because this is the secret ingredient that’ll keep your spark alive.
I hope you’ve found the love of a lifetime.
